Unbroken Gagal Singkirkan The Hobbit di Box Office

Aksi, Los Angeles:  The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies mempertahankan posisinya di puncak box office selama dua pekan berturut-turut. Sekuel terakhir The Hobbit tersebut berhasil meraih keuntungan USD41,4 juta atau Rp515 miliar.

Film garapan Angelina Jolie, Unbroken, belum mampu menggeser The Hobbit. Unbroken berada di posisi kedua dengan keuntungan USD31,7 atau Rp394 miliar.

Peringkat ketiga ditempati Into the Woods yang mendapatkan USD31 juta atau Rp385 miliar. Padahal, film ini dibintangi sederet pemain terkenal seperti Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily blunt, Chris Pine, dan Anna Kendrick.

Posisi keempat ditempati Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb dengan perolehan USD20,6 juta atau Rp256 miliar, disusul film musikal Annie di urutan kelima yang mendapat keuntungan USD16,6 juta atau Rp206 miliar.

Film kontroversial The Interview yang dibintangi Seth Rogen, dan James Franco, justru tidak berhasil masuk dalam daftar 10 besar box office. The Interview menempati urutan ke-16 dengan keuntungan USD1,8 juta atau Rp22 miliar.
